【Examination fee】
Free (paid by the university), applications are made at the university all at once, so no procedures are required.
【What to bring】
Student ID card, watch (wearables prohibited), writing utensils
[Test content]
Listening 50 questions, about 35 minutes, Grammar 40 questions, about 25 minutes, Reading 50 questions, about 55 minutes *Paper version in mark sheet format
【Remarks】
You can apply for credit recognition based on the results of this test (550 points or more). For details, please refer to the course guide.
【Note】
・If you are late for the morning session, you can take the exam in the afternoon session.
・If you are late for the afternoon session, you will not be able to take the exam.
・There is no reserve date.
・If you fail to take the exam, you can take English subjects for the next year, but you will automatically be at the lowest C level.
・If you have an official external English test score (IELTS, TOEIC, etc.) other than this TOEFL, you can apply for a level change later. If you wish to change your level, please bring a score sheet or other proof and consult with the University-wide Education Division (on the 1st floor of the Educational Organization Building).
・If you are unable to take the exam on the day of the examination due to an infectious disease, please send a certificate issued by a medical institution to the University-wide Education Division (cllews@gr.saitama-u.ac.jp) by email. Only in this case, we plan to take remedies. If you have any questions about the above, please do not hesitate to contact us.

📣 ChatGPTと外国語教育：日本人大学生の経験と考え 🇯🇵

Dear Students,

My colleague and friend, Professor Louise Ohashi, is embarking on a new Kaken research grant. The anonymous survey is for Japanese students at any university in Japan who are or have studied any foreign language as part of their undergraduate degree. It is about ChatGPT and asks about their opinions and experiences. It takes ten minutes to complete (less if the open-ended responses are very short). The survey is in Japanese, and all but two questions are multiple-choice. The instructions are below the link of the survey:

この調査は、大学生のChatGPTの利用経験とその見解を調べるものです。ChatGPTを使ったことがない場合でも、このアンケートにご協力ください。

所要時間: 約10分 ⏰ 主に多肢選択式で、短答の質問が2つあります。

参加: このアンケートは完全に任意で匿名です。成績や授業とは一切関係なく、いつでも中止することができます。アンケートに回答することで、このページにあるアンケートに関する情報を理解し、そしてあなたの回答が調査に使用されることに同意したことを示しています。
