This is a learner-centered course prepares you for researching academic topics and writing APA & MLA formatted papers. Building on the skills acquired in AEW1 in the previous year, special attention is paid to research paper organization, standard citation systems, and use of academic English.

ESP1a The L2 Motivational Self System

Through readings and viewings, note-taking, reflective activities, and in-class discussions, you can analyze your motivation by learning more about your language learning experience, your ought-to self, and ideal self. Then, you can find many convenient ways to become more motivated while learning at university. This class is useful not only for English, but for any subject you learn with more confidence.

You get to focus on researching and writing about current social, scientific, and global issues in English of your choice by taking notes and revising drafts for APA or MLA formatted research paper followed at international universities. Attention to IELTS test preparation will also be provided.

There are over 500 free videos available on English pronunciation and spoken English. Rachel’s videos, t have received over 70 million views, and way over 1 million subscribers are particularly useful because she not only explains the pronunciation and and supportive position of your mouth to speak well, she also shows the phonetic spelling and that help improve listening comprehension. She has helped me teach English US pronunciation and provides courses on at Rachel’s Academy. The more correct answers you get, you can feed children in need faster, and make groups with your friends to get high scores.
