PBL_Class 06: Choose a global issue involving Japan. Starter questions and “overview” sources

Summary: You learned how to blog using the new Padlet link that was sent to you by Manaba before class today. Then, you also edited your work of your Cycle 3 editorial, opinion piece, or call to action enough to transfer it from your Google Document for Cycle 3 to the new Padlet Blog.

Starter Questions for Cycle 4:

  1. Who are your group members?
  2. What research area are you going to conduct?
  3. How are you going to divide the research into parts?
  4. What is the research involve on a global scale?
  5. How do you think this research impacts communities or people in Japan?

Homework due by Friday, November 3rd by 3 PM:

Make sure your blog is posted on the Padlet! Some of you are already finished in class. This assignment is only for the students who need more time before your school festival.

Homework due by Friday, November 10th by 3 PM:

Make sure to write a thoughtful comment on each of your classmates’ Padlet post. You are welcome to click the ‘like’ button, which is a heart mark.

Homework due before Class 07 on Monday, November 13th by the end of lunchtime, but earlier is fine:

Please take one page of handwritten notes answering these five question for Cycle 4. You do not need to upload them on a Google document yet for Cycle 4 because you are putting yourself into groups of three. Once the groups are decided, I will make you a group Google Doc in class in Class 07. Here are the questions to answer:
