Summary: There was an orientation to the course explaining the documents below, including what is expected of you in our sessions, your homework, how you can do well, and how you can improve your English writing skills the most in this course. Lastly, an introduction to the IELTS test was presented:

How will your grade be calculated?

Homework (30%)

IELTS Practice Midterm (20%) -The goal is a 6.5 score, not a 9.0!

MLA Academic Final Paper (20%)

Class Participation (10%)

Cambridge Write & Improve (20%-10% is online class participation)

Homework due at 1 p.m. before Session_02, submitted on the Write & Improve Website, which is your 1st Write & Improve essay (Submit 4 times, please):

You can complete the essay after setting up your online account with a class code that will be emailed to you based on your email address. In this first class, I demonstrated how to complete the assignment, so for any absent students, please contact me.
