Session 03: Reduced Forms; the TOEIC Test parts 2 & 3

Homework due on May 17th, 2018: 

1. After studying the TOEIC tips unit 3 at the outer columns of the text, take the please do Mini-Test B, Unit 3, p. 17-18: Conversation section from numbers 1 to 12, by keeping the TOEIC Tips for part 3 in mind. Then write down your reflections in  your Listening and Reading Log for entry #3 in this format:

Plan: Which day, which practice task and how long?  Reflections: What did you do? How long for? What did you notice? How did you feel? New listening or reading goals?

TOEIC Tips for Part 3 (By Grant Trew)

• Use your time to predict the context of the conversation before it happens. It can make the listening easier.
• Think of other ways to say the answer choices.
• Be careful if you hear the same words in the conversation and the answer choices, because the words might have different meanings.
• Listen to who says what.
• Answer quickly!
