Session 09:  MLA Formatting and Draft Preparation

Summary: We had another writing workshop day where we reviewed writing strategies. There was a focus on MlA in-text citations and exploring writing more descriptive sentences. You worked on improving your papers in class. Finally, you wrote reflections and your English learning goal for the class.  Homework Due via email on Monday, 01/18/2021, by 12 PM (Sending earlier than the deadline is great for quick feedback to you!) How to label your attachment file: AEW1_2nd Draft_'Your Name.'  Remember and try these computer programs and follow the guidelines attached before emailing your draft: Criterion -Online Writing Evaluation (MLA Text Editor) MLA-Owl Purdue Veritus Certify! Check against Plagiarism -Leander Hughes 1. Please remember to follow:    A). the formatting guidelines provided in the class of the MLA 8 Quick Guide.    B). the organization of the introduction essay based on what you learned in class. Download and type in the     Instructions for MLA Writing Template.    C) Follow also the grading checklist on the AEW1_MLA_Writer's Portfolio attached.    D) Please write your abstract and include your corrected references from the homework in Class 08. 2. Then, please write your name, draft number, AEW course name, date, and title are on the page like this:  AEW1_2nd Draft_'Your Name.'  3. There is an option to do an entry of a TOEFL Essay in Criterion.
