Class 13: Synthesizing Your Research Notes Summary: I explained step by step how to present your research, which is also available in the attachment below. Subsequently, you spoke about your research with your pair and got feedback, and then you wrote reflections about your learning. Some students asked about how many slides should we prepare for your presentation. It really depends on the issue, but it is useful to have between 12 to 18 slides, including a cover page, an introduction page, a conclusion page, a references page, and a thank you page. Homework due on Thursday 01/28/2021 at 10 AM: 1. Please write your four or four questions related to your topic that you are researching and categorize your four pages of notes on THREE pages of A4 paper. Please include your references in the document APA style on the third page. Please provide the details of the author's name, date published, the title, and the publisher (or organization). You can use the guidelines by OWL Purdue in the references section in the chart above. Or the attachments below. It is okay to make mistakes on the references. I can help you. Please make sure you note the page or paragraph number and the citation any time you can to keep organized. It makes your writing of the first draft so much easier. Trying to help you! You are not researching new articles, but what you have read and taken notes on already. If it is confusing, look at the PowerPoint attached below. 2. Option to fully complete another entry of your 4CsTEDTalk by addresses on a full column the Concepts, Challenges, Connections, and Changes. The entry should be the full two pages typed, and please answer the questions completely. You can choose any TED TALK of your choice, but I recommend the list of effective talks references in the Hattaway (n.d.) article sent to your messages. |
